CMA Participates in the IOSCO Growth and Emerging Markets Committee Meeting

The Capital Market Authority participated in the annual meeting of the Growth and Emerging Markets Committee of the International Organization for Securities Commissions  hosted by the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority in Cairo during the period 26-29 April 2015.

 

The CMA delegation is chaired by Mohammed Said Al Abri, Director General of Issues and Disclosure and the membership of Sami Hamed Al Sulaimani, Specialist at the Department of Inspection and Compliance.

A workshop will be held on the sidelines of the meeting in collaboration with Toronto Centre on the simulation of market risks and crisis. The last day will witness a conference on thee mains themes  on “Deepening bonds market and fostering securitization”, derivatives in emerging markets” and  “ unlocking opportunities in ETFs in emerging markets.”

 

IOSCO was established in 1983 as global standards setter for securities markets through cooperation and encouraging adherence to international standards in regulation and supervision for the protection of investors and the provision of fair, efficient and transparent  market and addressing systemic risks.
