Oman Center for Corporate Governance and Sustainability Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Sustainable Square Company for Integration and Cooperation in the Field of Social Responsibility and Sustainability

Oman Center for Corporate Governance and Sustainability signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Sustainable Square Company in the framework of establishing partnerships with regional and international institutions in the field of sustainability. 

Sayyed Hamed Sultan Al Busaidi, Executive Director of Oman Center for Corporate Governance and Sustainability signed the MoU on behalf of the Center, while Mr. Munaad Lalahm, Founding Partner and Executive President of Sustainable Square Company signed it on behalf of the Company.

The MoU aims to specify aspects of cooperation in enhancing sustainability and social responsibility practices of companies through conducting forums and conferences, presenting similar experiences, and working mutually to provide support in fields related to designing and executing rules and practices for revolving sustainability practices of companies.

Sustainable Square Company is a leading international company in developing strategies and reports of sustainability and social investments, and measuring its impacts. The Company has previous long experience with many Omani companies of various fields like; banks, petrochemical, power, oil and gas.

It is worth to mention the Oman Center for Corporate Governance and Sustainability has previously signed a number of memos in the same field with Pearl Initiative, Dubai Governance Center and others. The Center aims to spread the concept of governance and to activate social responsibility principles of companies so they are able to fulfill their role in serving the community and achieving requirements of sustainable development.
