CMA Continue Insurance Sector Training Programs

The Capital Market Authority resumed the annual training programs and organized a training program on medium management skills through video conferencing. The program aims to acquaint the participants with  advanced skills in medium management  to move to the senior management stages as part of the annual training programs of Tamkeen initiative which aims to empower the national cadres  working in the insurance sector through qualitative and digital Omanization policy in accordance with three functional levels in operations, medium management and senior management to achieve the timeline of the national initiative that started in 2018 in coordination with the Ministry of Labour.

 

The medium management program in its advanced level is one of the significant programs that ad administrative skills and the instruments required for running  operational works of insurance processes as it targets the participants in the first medium management  skills program beside  those who are qualified to move from operational management to medium management.  The program included a number of points in managerial leadership skills required to increase productivity and application of efficient orientation and assessment techniques  in addition to using technology in problem solving to overcome the obstacles that face the participants, and dispute resolution using most advanced problem solving systems beside  creating change management plans that lead to continued improvement and finally developing efficient work plans for time management.

 

It is noteworthy that Tamkeen vision  is based on enhancing the representation of national cadres in medium and senior technical managerial position without focusing on operational roles in accordance with specific percentages after consideration of the realities of the manpower in insurance companies and brokers. CMA aims to reach an Omanization ratio at 50% in senior roles, 75% in medium roles and 90% in operational roles gradually  through the end of 2020. The number of Omanis working in the sector was 2433 at the end of 2019.
