Introductory Meeting for Business Entrepreneurs in Collaboration with the Dhahirah Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Dhamani Platform and Unified Health Insurance Policy

 

The Capital Market Authority held an introductory meeting for business entrepreneurs in collaboration with Al Dhahira Chamber of Commerce and Industry to disseminate awareness of insurance products and digital services that contribute to the provision of insurance services and the Dhamani electronic link for health insurance in the Sultanate of Oman and the Unified Health Insurance Policy and other insurance services.

 

The meeting focused on several topics to acquaint the participants with the Dhamani Platform and its importance in linking the regulators such as CMA, Ministry of Health and Royal Oman Police with the providers of insurance and healthcare services for exchange of data and information related to health insurance as well and the role of Dhamani Platform in streamlining the health insurance transactions and the key requirements and terms and conditions for the link between the platform and healthcare and insurance services providers beside the investment opportunities provided by the platform.

 

The meeting also discussed the Unified Health Insurance Policy which aims to standardize the policy provided by insurance companies to the beneficiaries to limit the irregularities. The participants were acquainted with the minimum limit of healthcare coverage stipulated in the policy related to providing basic healthcare through three main services including inpatient, emergency and treatment of basic ailments that obstruct the worker’s productivity. They pointed out to the optional healthcare benefits in the policy such as pregnancy and birth, child health, dental and eye benefits which are additional benefits the employer can add to the basic coverage.

 

Finally, the meeting highlighted other insurance products including home insurance, credit life insurance, motor insurance and boats insurance to raise the awareness of insurance products and their importance when buying a products and the exclusions.
